two spring beauty trends

spring 2013 beauty trends

i’m a beauty editor for glitter guide, and despite the chilly temps, there is light at the end of the tunnel; our focus has shifted to spring! catch up on two of my favourite beauty trends for fall 2013, below.

spring beauty trends white nails

White polish is in for spring 2013, and we’re welcoming this bright and fresh hue that brings serious impact to your fingertips. Breaking from the funky and busy nail art of past seasons, crisp white polish was all the rage at Rag & Bone and Tibi’s S/S ’13 runway shows. This trend is equally wearable off the runway. Metallic whites with a sheer formulation are almost foolproof, while opaque white nails require careful application; using three thin coats of polish is the key to smooth, even coverage. This clean, simple and fresh look is a sure match for the spring months.

spring beauty trends blue eyeshadow

Straight off the runway, blue is back in a big way for spring! Whether it’s vibrant cobalt, bright turquoise, or a frosty cyan shade, this hue is making a serious mark on Spring’s 2013 beauty trends. Warm up brown eyes with a deep navy like we saw on the Just Cavalli Spring 2013 runway. Enhance blue or green eyes with an electric teal or shimmery baby blue as seen on Stella McCartney’s Spring 2013 runway. Lined on the top lid or blended out for a smoky look, there’s a blue shade for each of us to experiment with come spring!

I love the look of white nails–once spring hits I’m totally going to try and rock them!

I love blue liner & eyeshadow. I think it works wonders for brown-eyed girls! I like the look of white nails but they tend to look way too drastic on me.
